Depth and Desire - A Full Length Production at
The Everson Museum of Art

Join us for two weekends of unforgettable performances that dive deep into passion and romance. This electrifying program opens with original choreography in four world premieres by Artistic Director Claire Solis and guest artists Jared Brunson, Nataniel Taylor, and Ryo Munakata, exploring passion in all its complexity — with music from neoclassical strings to the heart wrenching soul of Etta James. Syracuse native and rising star Nataniel Taylor knits together skill and raw energy in his breakout choreographic work. CNYB also welcomes back nationally acclaimed choreographer Jared Brunson and his joy-filled new work Cloud Nine. Guest artists from Ballet of New York will perform intriguing, innovative choreography by Ryo Munakata.

The production culminates in a powerful reimagining of Carmen by Claire Solis, bringing new excitement to Bizet’s timeless story and offering audiences an engaging and visually stunning experience, featuring a special guest artist from Ballet San Antonio. This memorable performance is unlike any Central New York has seen before and will linger with you well beyond the final curtain.
